It is very easy to get to the flowers. The exit is just south of Gormon, on 138, on Highway 5.

As of mid-March 2006: The flower season of 2005 was spectacular, but due to receiving our rains late in the season after a very dry winter, there's very little bloom and at this time it's not looking to be a very good year. Poppies, however, are unpredicatable and conditions can change especially with some recent snow at the reserve, which may result in a secondary germination. April or May will likely be the best times to visit- check back weekly for updated information. The wildflower displays naturally evolve over the course of the season regardless, with many other colorful flower species coming in at different times, keeping the reserve an e
