Meet Ted Leonsis, a man who lives by his 101 goals list
SuperViva is honored to present you with Ted Leonsis' famous and inspirational list of 101 Life Goals along with an exclusive interview. This very list was an early inspiration for SuperViva. And Mr. Leonsis' achievement of his life goals, balanced with kindness and generosity, has been an inspiration to me. Got a famous list to post?
Ted Leonsis sprang from humble roots in Brooklyn to become a pioneer of the Internet and new media, a sports team owner, and an innovator in the world of philanthropy. He has been with AOL for a decade and is credited with positioning AOL as a major media company.
In the early '80s, an emergency airplane landing made Ted realize how suddenly life can end. A week later, he made a list of 101 goals, in an effort to live with focused intention.
Featured on Oprah in 2001, Ted's life list has inspired many over the years. As of February 2006, Ted has accomplished 74 of the 101 goals as you can see on his blog.
You might notice how simply the goals are categorized. We've added other keywords to some goals for indexing in our Interests directory.

Life List Q&A:
1) Many people may think your financial goals are quite lofty. When you set these goals, did they feel pie in the sky at the time or quite attainable?
I was 25 when I wrote the list - so I had to aim high.
2) How often do you look at your list to see "what's next?" Or do you know it by heart by now?
After all this time - I know the list by heart. And every year I try to cross off one or two items.
3) How often do you adjust the 101 goals based on changing interests and new opportunities?
The list doesn't change.
4) One of my favorite goals on your list is: "Support someone who makes a great breakthrough in science or art." How can aspiring scientists and artists approach you?
